The Monaco Yacht Show opens on Wednesday 23 September, and the 23rd is an invitation-only preview day. The 22nd is the evening before: everyone has arrived, and nothing has started.
Port Hercule fills with roughly 125 vessels across a fifteen-hectare basin. Four to five billion euros of hull, moored in an amphitheatre of towers and palace ramparts, with the largest alongside the Quai des États-Unis.
New-build deals in the tens and hundreds of millions are reported to be agreed informally, over yacht-club lunches, rather than on the floor. Reported by Monaco Latitudes; we have not verified it independently.

Doors are at 18:00 and the evening ends at 20:00. The sun sets over the Mediterranean at about 19:30 that day, and civil twilight ends just before 20:00, so the room turns from full light to dusk while it is still in it.
Amazónico Monte-Carlo is a curated cocktail setting on the Place du Casino. We have the golden hour before dark.

What does it cost?
Ticketing is held on the Eventbrite listing, and the price is shown there rather than here. That is deliberate. Five of six comparable private evenings publish no price on the page; a figure is the one thing that can decide the question before the room has had a chance to. Open the listing and it will tell you straight away.
Is the Global Superyacht Forum the host?
The Global Superyacht Forum is co-host. Capital Variation convenes the gathering.

The event is 18+. Refunds are available up to seven days before.

Fifty. It is a curated guest list, not a capacity.
